Historically, the birth of QUALI dates back to 1920 when (ANDRE DECUPERE) operated its first “Blending Plan” in QUEBEC by a Belgian Canadian association specializing in the manufacture of industrial oils from which the QUALI (Quebec Anvers Lubrifiants Industriels) appointment came.

In 1951, Mr ANDRE DECUPERE had created two companies in Belgium, one for mechanical construction and the other for filtration.

The period after World War II heralded constant expansion, the number of specialties and export markets increased, necessitating the installation of a laboratory and Blending Plan in Antwerp in order to be able to produce the oils.

In 1962, Mr RUDY DECUPERE was appointed the first person in charge of the ADEC group which includes the two companies indicated and QUALI became a totally Belgian company and a subsidiary of the ADEC group.

The activity was quickly developed to cover other kinds of lubricants by a Blending Plan in Belgium and another in Poland.
